So I never was good at games as a kid. I guess some things never change, because my sister-in-law Tiffany tagged me so here goes...
Regarding me and my husband:
How long did you date? We started dating a week after Mike proposed to me.
How old is he? the big 3-0
How old are you? 9 and 20
Who eats more sweets? Me!!! I have inherited my mothers addiction for chocolate. It's not really dessert unless it's chocolate.
Who said I love you first? Mike said to me the night he proposed "I think I love you..." does that count?
Who is taller? Mike
Who can sing better? Mike thinks he's Pavarotti in the shower (and at the dinner table), but I don't think the ward choir will be recruiting him anytime soon. I can hold my own.
Who is smarter? We all know the answer to that (but don't tell Mike, he's kind of sensitive).
Who does the laundry? Me, 2 loads everyday. It's the first thing I do in the morning, put in a load of laundry.
Who does the dishes? Mostly me and the kids, but during the summer Mike makes himself a chore chart and helps out with everything.
Guilty pleasures? TV and Movies. We love to sit down and snuggle and watch a movie together.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? My right or yours?
Who mows the lawn? Mike believes in a "natural" look in the yard. So I do the mowing.
Who cooks dinner? Cafe Ole, Applebee's and the the Cheesecake factory. If it's Mike's night to cook, then it's Panda or Blimpies.
Who is more stubborn? I'm more stubborn but, Mike will never admit it.
Who kissed who first? Mike-it was a peck. He says that's all I needed to fall in love with him.
Who asked who out first? Well, I got my brother to tell Mike to ask me out, so you decide.
Who proposed? Mike proposed after the "I think I love you" comment "...so I think I want to marry you." He told me to take all the time I needed to decide, then he called me three hours later demanding an answer.
Who has more siblings? Mike
Who wears the pants? Mike wears the pants, but I pick them out first.
What is your favorite thing about him? Mike thinks he's not a romantic, and most would agree with him. On the surface he doesn't come across as a very sensitive guy. I never get flowers on Valentines day, or 'just because' surprises. Now I realize I wouldn't have it any other way, Mike is my Mr. Darcy.

Mamma Bear, Pappa Bear, and Baby Bear
Sorry these pictures are so bad but, what can you do with me behind the camera. Our couch was trashed!! So we hauled it to the dump and until we get another one Mike let me order these fun chairs for the kids. Only, I didn't know Caleigh's would come bigger than life! She loves it though so it's gonna stay. One of the kids made the realization that we had the 3 little bears chairs with all the different sizes. Everything can be made into a fairytale at our house.
" We love our new chairs!" Elliot goes around during the day trying each one out. Unlike in the story, when Goldilocks find the baby's chair to be just right, Elliot prefers Caleigh's. Oh, and she's wearing her HARVARD shirt here, "Thanks grandma Frankie!"
The kids think stacking them is just as fun as sitting in them. Who Knew? Maybe I will try it with my furniture someday.
My little packer
I have been crazy packing up the things we don't use everyday getting ready for the move. This box of books (we have too many books) got left out and Elliot found it. She sat and looked through so many books, I loved watching her; she looked like she was reading them. This is my favorite age when they start to actually focus on things.
"What Mom?" Mike had to sneek down the hall and try to get pictures of this cute moment before her one year old attention span ran out. She's on her way to being just like Caleigh always snuggled up in a corner reading something.
-And "Yes" Mom I realize her bangs are getting too long and she can't see. I will try to keep them pinned back.

Just an Update
So for all of you who have been anxiouslly waiting for the update of the Wii; I did finally find one. Good things come to those who wait. Or at least if you camp out if front of a store, call at all hours, and beg and plead you finally will find a Wii, just not a friend in the mall store employee. I think the whole mall heard me when I found out I would be purchasing the last one of that days shipment (it had only gotten in a half hour earlier). Yippee. So is it everything my little family hoped for. The kids would say yes and Mike would even agree. As for me I am just happy the quest is over and vow never to get so involved in something so trivial next time...

Utah???
So two days ago the phone rang and on the caller id it said "univer of Ut" so I answered it. It was for Mike. He walked out of the room talked for about ten minutes then hung up.
"so what was that about"
"I'm in!"
Mike has been accepted for the PhD program at University of Utah with a 4 year assistantship! Yeah, this is so exciting for us. We have yet to hear back from any of the other schools but, we now know there is an options for Utah. We have family there and there should be lots of job opportunities for Mike. I am nervous about living situation seeing how we will be "poor college kids" again. But, I have faith that if this is where we are supposed to be it will all work out. So congratulation Mike, we are all so proud of you!

New addition to the Head Family
I should probably mention my little brother and his wife Tiff had their first baby together. He was born on Jan. 25th. They named him Oscar Willis Head. I don't have any pictures yet because I only have seen him once and it was really short. He has had a rough start. He weighted 5lbs. 12 oz. when he was born and he was having a hard time gaining weight plus he has been jaundice. They had to take him back to the hospital and put him under the warmers to keep his body temp. up. Today, he is home and seems to be doing well, but, I won't get to hold him for a while since I feel like I am getting a cold. I don't want to spread my germs to him just yet.
Griffin turns 5
Happy Birthday Griffin! Caleigh drew this picture for Grif today and so we just had to add it to the blog. She is always thoughtful and trying to make others feel special. Notice the star wars
t-shirt.
Griffin had a special "guest" at his party, LUKE SKYWALKER, when I set him up the night before he startled me a couple of times. I kept thinking Mike was home for break. The boys loved adding him to their room decor. Expect they turned him around tonight because he was looking at them.
t-shirt.
Yesterday Griffin was telling me how excited he was to turn five. He talked about it all day. At night when he was brushing his teeth he said, "mom, my thumb is ready to be out."
"what?"
"you know my thumb gets to be out soon because I'll be 5." He proudly showed me his hand with fingers and thumb spread out.
I'm not ready for him to be big but, I haven't figured out how to freeze time yet so... Happy Birthday Grif! We love you!

Remembering
So Mike and I are getting our house ready to sell. We don't know yet where or when we are moving but, we are unsure of how long it will take our house to sell. And since we are moving somewhere before next fall we decided it was time to get things moving(ha, ha) along. The kids are getting nervous with all the moving talk so I am trying to reassure them it takes a long time to sell a house and we are just getting started. My Mom has been dropping off boxes all week. I can't believe how many boxes a High School goes thru in a week. 30 boxes this week. I can't even say how I feel about leaving my little house. I hated it for so long and now, well, it's a part of me. It's where I brought home all my babies. It's the only place that's felt like "home" since I left my parent's for college. Oh well, life moves on and I have to go with it. So we'll keep every one updated as far as the WHERE and WHEN the move happens.

Good to see you again Turley's
This post is for the Turley's. It was so good to see you guys again. I love how Zoe and Caleigh got to catch up and they picked up right where they left off. I think Melissa and I did too. I miss having you guys in Boise but, I am glad you guys are having adventures in California. Melissa you are such a good person and such a great MOM! I love getting your advice and being around you. Plus your 3 children are gorgeous. Lydia is growing so much and I love her cute grumpy face. I wish I had brought my camera to take some recent photos of the girls playing. Next time. Thanks for a fun time at the church.

So there I was . . . just relaxing in front of the TV when the kids yelled, "Hey Mom, come see the kittens."
My Brother sent me an email with this. It was so funny I couldn't believe how hard I laughed. Maybe because this is something Griffin would do. Like when we go to the zoo, he never knows what he's looking at. He's the third child what do you expect.

Snowed IN
Here's some photo's from our extra day in Utah. I would hate to have to drive in this all winter but, the kids had so much fun. Matt and Shannon have a great slop in their backyard so the kids got to go sledding and then build snow forts. It was so fun to watch them and remember the times Boise used to get that much snow. Or at least it seemed like it. Now it just melts by the end of the day so the kids rarely get to go out and play in it. "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow"
Temple Square

This past weekend we loaded up the car and headed to Utah. We wanted to see Matt and Shannon's new house and take the kids to Temple Square. The weather was a little cold and wet but we had so much fun! Temple square was beautiful and I learned that they don't put christmas lights on the temple. I could have sworn they did.

It snowed on Saturday, the day we were supposed to leave, so we ended up staying one more day. Thanks Matt and Shannon, Craig and Gai, and Tracyl for a fun Utah weekend. We will definitely do this again.
