Spending time with Family

We had so much fun staying with my Mom and Dad. We had tons of family to visit with everyday. Michelle and Shawn came to stay with my Mom and Dad while we were there too. The kids loved seeing their cousins and having a good time. There was little squabbling and everyone got along great.

My Dad cracked us all up one night with this giant roll thing-y (I don't know it's official name). It supposed to be really good for your back? It didn't look very comfortable, but I wasn't trying it out.

We all crashed every night. Love Elliot sleeping in her little bed on the floor of my room. The days just flew by...

Seeing our dear friends

Our first week of vacation in Boise we were able to meet up with our dear friends the Tituses. They were in Twin Falls for a wedding and we decided to split the distance and meet up in Glens Ferry, ID for brunch. My sweet parents came along for the ride. We all ran from our cars when we saw each other. It's so nice seeing them all again. Emily had found a little cafe on the internet, which is a good thing, because there is not much in Glens Ferry.

We had all changed so much in our absence... Just kidding, aren't these mustaches hilarious? They had a machine that sold them. Of course I had to buy some.
Isn't this cafe awesome? It's exactly what you would picture for a small Idaho town. We were all quite noisy, and the kids loved the box of toys in the corner, but it was so fun to see each other. I'm so grateful for friends that would drive out of their way just to spend brunch with us.

After we parted ways with our friends we headed to a small Oregon trail museum there in Glens Ferry (who knew there was more to GF than just potatoe fields?). It was a great little musuem and we learned a little bit about the Native Americans and early pioneers. The kids loved the wagon out front, and Elliot kept trying to climb in the Native American displays.

12 Year Anniversary

Mike and I are celebrating our 12 year anniversary today. Our actual anniversary was yesterday the 22nd, but Sunday is not really a good day for lunch and a movie. I feel so lucky to have Mike as my hubbie and I look at our little family and I feel happy.
So the past 12 years have brought us:

4 crazy kids
5 moves
several jobs
130 fights
130 make ups
5 million laughs and counting...

Mike is amazing and I am in awe over his mind and his humor. This guy teaches me thinks everyday and makes me laugh everyday. What more could a girl ask for?

(I'm loving these pictures! When we were in ID my Mom had our entire family do a photo session with a great photographer. She sent me a few, but the disk is on it's way, and I can't wait to see them all.)

A kick off to our summer vacation...

This past month we were so lucky to be in Boise, ID with family and friends. We even got to hit Utah before heading back East. But before we left we...

Had a visit with G-Pa(my Dad). He was so kind to fly to NH to help me and the kids fly to Idaho. He came a week early so we could do some site seeing. We had so much fun! We hit the beach, L.L. Bean flag ship store, Cabala's, Harvard and Cambridge and lots of Yummy, yummy restaurants.
We couldn't leave NH without a mini celebration of the twinners 9th birthday. We would be in ID for the actual day, and Mike would still be in NH. It felt like a real party with Aunt Tracy, my niece Annie, and my Dad here. The kids were spoiled and loved all of their presents. Thanks everyone!

And of course, nervous-nelly me could not imagine going through airport security (with their new high-tech X-ray machines) without a little training and advice from the seasoned travelers. Aunt Tracy gave the kids a run down about security and we did some practices. I have to say, when the time came for the kids to actually go through security they were great! They all took off their shoes, belts, earrings, etc. all themselves. Phew!

When life gives you lemons...

Caleigh and her friend Emma decided a lemonade stand would be the perfect way to celebrate summer. Unfortunately their clientele were the neighborhood kids, and not the Richy-rich millionaires they were hoping for. Their lemonade was FREE, but they set out a tip jar, hoping their kind gesture would be rewarded. They didn't make any money, but they sure had fun making everyone line up and passing out lemonade. Everyone had a good time.
