Tagged Again!!!

So I never was good at games as a kid. I guess some things never change, because my sister-in-law Tiffany tagged me so here goes...

Regarding me and my husband:

How long did you date? We started dating a week after Mike proposed to me.

How old is he? the big 3-0

How old are you? 9 and 20

Who eats more sweets? Me!!! I have inherited my mothers addiction for chocolate. It's not really dessert unless it's chocolate.

Who said I love you first? Mike said to me the night he proposed "I think I love you..." does that count?

Who is taller? Mike

Who can sing better? Mike thinks he's Pavarotti in the shower (and at the dinner table), but I don't think the ward choir will be recruiting him anytime soon. I can hold my own.

Who is smarter? We all know the answer to that (but don't tell Mike, he's kind of sensitive).

Who does the laundry? Me, 2 loads everyday. It's the first thing I do in the morning, put in a load of laundry.

Who does the dishes? Mostly me and the kids, but during the summer Mike makes himself a chore chart and helps out with everything.

Guilty pleasures? TV and Movies. We love to sit down and snuggle and watch a movie together.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? My right or yours?

Who mows the lawn? Mike believes in a "natural" look in the yard. So I do the mowing.

Who cooks dinner? Cafe Ole, Applebee's and the the Cheesecake factory. If it's Mike's night to cook, then it's Panda or Blimpies.

Who is more stubborn? I'm more stubborn but, Mike will never admit it.

Who kissed who first? Mike-it was a peck. He says that's all I needed to fall in love with him.

Who asked who out first? Well, I got my brother to tell Mike to ask me out, so you decide.

Who proposed? Mike proposed after the "I think I love you" comment "...so I think I want to marry you." He told me to take all the time I needed to decide, then he called me three hours later demanding an answer.

Who has more siblings? Mike

Who wears the pants? Mike wears the pants, but I pick them out first.

What is your favorite thing about him? Mike thinks he's not a romantic, and most would agree with him. On the surface he doesn't come across as a very sensitive guy. I never get flowers on Valentines day, or 'just because' surprises. Now I realize I wouldn't have it any other way, Mike is my Mr. Darcy.

Mamma Bear, Pappa Bear, and Baby Bear

Sorry these pictures are so bad but, what can you do with me behind the camera. Our couch was trashed!! So we hauled it to the dump and until we get another one Mike let me order these fun chairs for the kids. Only, I didn't know Caleigh's would come bigger than life! She loves it though so it's gonna stay. One of the kids made the realization that we had the 3 little bears chairs with all the different sizes. Everything can be made into a fairytale at our house.
" We love our new chairs!" Elliot goes around during the day trying each one out. Unlike in the story, when Goldilocks find the baby's chair to be just right, Elliot prefers Caleigh's. Oh, and she's wearing her HARVARD shirt here, "Thanks grandma Frankie!"
The kids think stacking them is just as fun as sitting in them. Who Knew? Maybe I will try it with my furniture someday.

My little packer

I have been crazy packing up the things we don't use everyday getting ready for the move. This box of books (we have too many books) got left out and Elliot found it. She sat and looked through so many books, I loved watching her; she looked like she was reading them. This is my favorite age when they start to actually focus on things.
"What Mom?" Mike had to sneek down the hall and try to get pictures of this cute moment before her one year old attention span ran out. She's on her way to being just like Caleigh always snuggled up in a corner reading something.
-And "Yes" Mom I realize her bangs are getting too long and she can't see. I will try to keep them pinned back.

Just an Update

So for all of you who have been anxiouslly waiting for the update of the Wii; I did finally find one. Good things come to those who wait. Or at least if you camp out if front of a store, call at all hours, and beg and plead you finally will find a Wii, just not a friend in the mall store employee. I think the whole mall heard me when I found out I would be purchasing the last one of that days shipment (it had only gotten in a half hour earlier). Yippee. So is it everything my little family hoped for. The kids would say yes and Mike would even agree. As for me I am just happy the quest is over and vow never to get so involved in something so trivial next time...

Mike has been accepted for the PhD program at University of Utah with a 4 year assistantship! Yeah, this is so exciting for us. We have yet to hear back from any of the other schools but, we now know there is an options for Utah. We have family there and there should be lots of job opportunities for Mike. I am nervous about living situation seeing how we will be "poor college kids" again. But, I have faith that if this is where we are supposed to be it will all work out. So congratulation Mike, we are all so proud of you!

The Endless search

As if I didn't have enough to do right now I have added to my list-finding a Wii. Mike and I decided to get a Wii for our family. I didn't know at the time that they are impossible to find. I have been to every store in Boise that would sell them and nothing just dust bunnies on the shelves. So now, something that I didn't even care much about at first, has become my obsession. I have a phone list of 5 stores on my fridge, of stores that have provided me with some hope of "getting them in" on a regular basis. So I wake up make the kids breakfast and call my 5 stores. How long do you think this search will continue? And why do the people at nintendo insist on driving me crazy!
