The final word

So if you all haven't heard by now...we are definitely moving to New Hampshire so Mike can start UNH in the fall. We are hoping to move the end of June (the 23rd?) we are so excited and nervous all at the same time. Our house still hasn't sold and we are trying to have faith that it will all work out. So keep us in your prayers and tell all your friends about a great priced home in central Boise.

Forks, WA

Where have I been? I know you are all wondering. I have been spending the last weeks inside a series of books that take place in Forks, Washington. I have been reading the "Twilight" series. I know they are overly popular and I won't bear my testimony on how good they are. But since starting the first book a little over a week ago my life seems to be put on hold. I never get on the computer anymore and my laundry has piled up, dishes are overflowing in the sink, I can't remember when I last bathed my baby (the older kids can bathe themselves) and I think most of Elliot's snacks are coming from the floor these days. This is why I don't read!

For your next movie night

For all of you who don't know--Mike and I are avid Movie watchers. We feel it our duty to watch all new movies (not rated R of course) that come out. We hardly ever make it to the theatre anymore, but every Tuesday you will find one of us at Hastings checking out the "new arrivals." Most the time the movies that week are okay; we have a good laugh, sometimes cry. But mostly I am disappointed with Hollywood these days. Until I met Lars! I LOVED this movie. So much in fact, I feel it deserves a post on my blog. So I won't give anything away (I hate it when people do that). Just keep it in mind, to rent, for your next movie night.

I'm a big girl now!

One night I left the room after dinner and came back to find my 1yr old feeding herself.
Apparently she didn't get enough food. I rarely let her feed herself despite what all the expert say. My other children eat fine and I didn't let them make a huge mess at dinner either. So this is Elli letting me know she is a big girl now. Ready to take on the world of utensils and dinner, all by herself. (please ignore my obnoxious voice in the video, why do I feel the need to talk every second?) I love in the video how she gets some spaghetti on her finger and she acts so disgusted by it.

This was taken a couple of weeks ago, so you can imagine how much better at eating she is. Tonight we took the kids to Carl's Jr. so they could eat and play around. Elliot sat in a booster seat at the table with the rest of us. She discovered fry sauce. She sat and carefully dipped each bite of her dinner in the fry sauce before she ate it. I am sure the guy who made "super-size me" would be so proud.

Christmas all year round

My creative daughter Caleigh is always thinking of things to do. One day she decided to spruce up the back yard by decorating the trees with toys. Fun huh! She had so much fun doing it I snapped some photos before making her tear it all down. I am sure potential buyers would not appreciate the trees as much as I do.

Every once and a while...

I have been checking my blog every once and a while for the past week. I was disappointed each time when I saw no one had left comments for me, but I realized that I had changed my settings so I had to approve all my comments before they posted. If any of you read the weirdo anonymous comment under my Easter post you'll understand. So I finally did find all of your comments-Thanks for leaving them! So I really am a intelligent person, however every once in a while...

Life Happens; while your making plans.

So most of you know Mike has applied for graduate school all over the country. He has been accepted to everywhere he applied to, except Purdue (he is on a wait list for a TA-ship). So we have been racking our brains, praying, and asking everyone's opinions trying to figure out what is the best place for us to move our family. I mean, I can't imagine not living 10 minutes from both our parents and family sunday dinners at my Moms.
Anyway this post is to let you all know the plans so far. Up until a few weeks ago we were heading to Utah. I was so excited with the idea of being close to family and live in a place that offered so much. But, it seems like life is going to take us in a different direction, for now. And although not everything is definite we have made some decisions for our future. If Purdue (in West Lafayett, Indiana) accepts Mike with a Teaching Assistantship we will go there, but if not then we are heading farther East, to Dover, New Hampshire. I can't tell you how excited I am with both options. I keep coming back to the feeling that the Lord will guide us and we will feel peace in our decision. So this is where our lives are right now and I will keep you all posted on the final decision.
