Our Stay-cation

After our Boston adventures we headed back home with Matt and Shannon's family.  We had a wonderful BBQ, with kabobs provided by Tom and Frankie,  yum.  We shot off our own fireworks and had a great show.  Our family got to experience fireworks in NH, which always includes tons of bug spray.  

The next day Matt, Shannon and kids needed to check into their Hotel in Maine, so we had a lazy morning then we drove them up.  Making sure to stop at UNH first so Mike could show off the campus and his office.  We drove through Portsmouth, NH then up to Maine and the beach!  

The kids had a great time burying each other in the sand and looking for starfish.  I could not believe how many there are this year.  The funny thing is there is no clam shells in sight.  We had so much fun the next few days playing in the water, and sand with our family.
